THEODORE FABERGE ENAMELED EGG IN CASE: The Pink Orchid Egg is guilloche enameled in white & adorned w/ hand-enameled pink orchid sprays. The lower half is offset with Faberge swags formed in stylized orchid leaves, studded with 8 small diamonds. The surprise within is a classic jardiniere, hand-carved in ebony and holding a blooming orchid; it can be removed for display alongside the egg. Further orchid sprays lie on the surrounding velvet floor, one set with a faceted white diamond. Marked 925 w/ Faberge hallmarks along the base edge and signed to the base ''Theo Faberge / No. 9''. Approx. 7'' h x 4'' dia. In double door case. CONDITION: Gentle wear commensurate with age and use including a couple abrasions in guilloche enamel at upper portion.
