With cobalt blue underglaze KPM Berlin scepter mark and iron red overglaze KPM imperial orb mark circa 1832-1892. Approx. 7'' h x 4'' dia.

The top of the case is festooned with a floral garland and surmounted by a lidded urn with two handles. A serial no. 14586 is impressed verso. Approx. 13'' h x 13'' w x 5'' d.

Behind the convex glass dial door is an enameled chapter ring that glows under UV light, having black Roman numeral hour markers and blued steel hands. The shaped case surmounted by a bell suspended within an arch over a flanked pair of dragons among stylized foliage, scroll motifs, sea serpents, & drop finials. The back of the case marked ''BD'' (Vrai Bronze B.D.- a Parisian bronze foundry). Complete with pendulum and key. Approx. 32'' h x 13.5'' w x 5'' d.
CONDITION: Dial & glass undamaged with no notable loss of paint. Not currently working or guaranteed to work. Dust & patina commensurate with age. One hairline crack in bronze at lower left below serpents.
