1358 Click for larger picture HOWARD JOHNSON WEATHERVANE: Howard Johnson's ''Simple Simon Met the Pieman'' figural silhouette weathervane made of cut sheet iron. Depicts ''Simon'' and dog with Pieman carrying his pies on either side of a lamppost. Originally designed for Howard Johnson restaurants located in/around an HJ's motor lodge. Resides in makeshift stand/base. Approx. 40'' h x 32'' w. Base is about 12'' in diameter.
CONDITION: Surface rust.

Emblazoned with Black Watch badge at front center flanked by battle honors. Impressed ''George Potter & Co. Makers Aldershot'' at brass. 2) Royal Dublin Fusiliers drum. The Royal Dublin Fusiliers created in 1881 and disbanded in 1922. With their badge at front center within clover wreath and battle honors banner. Indecipherable maker's mark impressed at brass topped by small crown. Both measure approx. 15.25'' h x 14.75'' w.
CONDITION: Black Watch drum body has large indent at painted side. Oxidation to exposed brass. Wear to drum skins.

George Potter & Co. plaque mounted at brass. 2) Scots Guard drum with realistically rendered and gilt emblazon featuring lion and unicorn against a red ground. Each measure approx. 15'' h x 15'' w.
CONDITION: Red ground drum has some loss of paint and scattered indents at brass body. Wear to drum skins and tension ropes commensurate with age.

CONDITION: Light paint loss. Oxidation to brass. Wear to drum skins and tension ropes commensurate with age. Fusiliers drum has faux drum skins and faux leather adjustment tabs at the tension ropes.

CONDITION: Lancers drum has dent in seam where brass meets painted area of body. RE drum with paint loss, dent in brass body, small crack at wood base.

The signed dial with Roman Numerals, hour & minute hands, and sub dial showing seconds is cased behind a hinged glass door. The wood case houses a wooden rod compensation pendulum with large lead filled bob. Approx. 59.5'' h x 16.5'' w x 9.5'' d.

The top unit having two beveled mirror doors that open to three tiers of ornate compartments. A drop front door reveals a writing surface and several drawers & compartments, all with remarkable burled veneer. Over three double bow front drawers, all interiors being luxuriously lined in damask. With ornate brass hardware, all atop bracket feet and topped by mirror inset crest. Approx. 93'' h x 45'' w x 22'' d.
CONDITION: Several condition issues include loss of wood at interior and exterior. Brass door pull to upper cabinet is broken but present.

With turned spindle accents, cabriole legs. Provenance: From the prior estate of an American ambassador to S. Korea. Approx. 34.75'' h x 16'' w x 17'' d.
CONDITION: One chair missing two leg rails (one rail is present). Natural cracks in the wood from age.

1388 Click for larger picture 3 PC. 19TH-CENTURY KNIVES / DAGGERS: 1) Moroccan Nimcha having a curved, etched blade with inlaid handle and sheath. 2) British Mk1 Drummer's short sword with cruciform brass hilt bearing Queen Victoria's royal cypher. 3) Middle Eastern Yatagan single-edged sword with scabbard. Engraved blade with silver worked handle. Longest piece measures approx. 25.5'' in length.
CONDITION: Patinated with scattered minor areas of oxidation. Loss of material to scabbard; splitting at handle.

1390 Click for larger picture FRENCH ORMOLU MOUNTED WALNUT SHELF CLOCK: French AD Mougin clock in walnut case with brass mounts in the form of trumpet heralding female figures, and art nouveau motif mounts below the dial and at the base. The large porcelain dial is hand painted with both Roman and Arabic numerals. The brass movement is marked ''Made in France'' and bears the Deux Medailles trademark stamp along with serial numbers matching those on the pendulum bob. Approx. 21'' h x 13.5'' w x 7'' d.
CONDITION: Not guaranteed to work or keep accurate time. Brass inlay segment at one side is missing.

1397 Click for larger picture MEISSEN CHARGER AND 3 HIGHLY ORNATE ROYAL VIENNA CUPS AND SAUCERS: Demitasse cup and saucer, the cup with fine portrait signed ''Rosler'' and completely gilded interior, having blue beehive Austria mark at base of both pieces. Accompanied by a pair of flat cups with saucers, depicting courting scenes, all with blue shield/beehive mark at base. And one cobalt blue, white, and gilt charger with blue crossed swords mark underneath, approx. 11'' in diameter.
CONDITION: No condition issues to note.
