1996 CARVED RICHARD PALUMBO CAROUSEL HORSE: The horse was carved by Richard Palumbo in 1996 from a horse that was removed from the 19th century carousel at Seabreeze Amusement Park in Rochester, NY. While the horse was removed, all of the other horses burned in a warehouse fire, leaving the original of this horse as the only survivor. Seabreeze commissioned a complete set of animals to be carved and painted. This one was painted by Bob Whiteside. Mounted by a twisted brass pole on a Gold painted scrolling foliate base.
