MEERSCHAUM PIPE WITH WOMAN AND ANGEL: Sweet detailed carving of a woman writing with a boy angel whispering in her ear. The angel may be cupid as there is a quiver of arrows by him. Measures 5.75'' overall and the bowl is 2.5'' H. This collection is from a storage unit - the original owner is unknown. Letters in the unit to and from Dr. Burton Gottfried suggest that some or all of these items may be from his prestigious collection. CONDITION: Meerschaum bowl has some coloring. Amber stem is not a tight fit. Case is not included. |
