Obverse said to be King Koson and 2 bodyguards. Reverse is that Roman Imperial Eagle. 20mm in diameter and 8.35 grams. Uncirculated. Current information suggests the slater is Scythian and issued by a Geto-Dacian King in alliance with Gaius Octavian. The Geto-Dacian king Cotiso(n), to whom Octavian had sought to arrange an alliance-by-marriage (from Suetonius texts), with his daughter Julia marrying Koson's son.
