Markings seem to indicate Meissen Ca. 1860-1924. 8 1/4"h. x 10"l. Extra additional note: Porcelain English Bulldog: Gifted to consignor in 60's by Elektra Bleu, an internationally renowned opera singer who worked with Enrico Caruso. Has had repairs to tail and rear right leg, which are undetectable by black light, and barely visible to the naked eye. The dog does have the Meissen crossed swords mark to the belly, although it does not appear to be underglaze. This is an indication that it may or may not be Meissen. The quality of the piece would lead one to believe it is in fact Meissen. Please bid accordingly. | 500 |
