41 | SEMI-ANTIQUE PERSIAN TABRIZ? HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 10' x 13': This attractive Persian rug has an unusual palette for its age and type. The pale peach color of the main field has an Ardebil like rounded scalloped edge medallion whose motifs radiate out from the central eight pointed star. There are spandrels suspended from the ends of the medallion that use the same colors as the medallion. The field of the rug is covered with small flower heads, leaves, and vines, in colors of green, blues, aqua, yellow, red, beige, and pink. The four corners of the field are composed of a pretty medium blue ground as well as a white ground in the very corners of the field. The striking red colored main border frames and enhances the center of the rug. Condition is good. | 1400 | |
